Bettys Bay at a glance
Bettys Bay is one of the seven towns which make up the area known as the “Overstrand”. Bettys Bay is also the host town for the Hangklip-Kleinmond art route.
The South African south west coast plays host to some of the most beautiful towns and villages in the country.
Betty’s Bay is no exception, situated within the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve - the first UNESCO declared Biosphere in the country. For nature lovers, the Harold Porter Gardens are world renowned and offer wonderful trails between the Kogelberg nature reserve and Bettys Bay.
This small and intimate holiday town is located on the Overberg coast of the Western Cape and is also considered to be the crown in the jewel of the Cape Floral Kingdom.
Whilst Hermanus is a schooling option for Bettys Bay parents - Somerset West is also equidistant to Betty Bay in terms of schooling, as well as offering a great selection of shopping centres.
Owning a Bettys Bay property will also place you close to the more populous and developed town of Hermanus, which is a 30 minute drive away, and just over an hour’s drive from the fabulous city of Cape Town.
Only around 500 permanent residents can call Betty’s Bay “home”, however, these numbers can easily swell to around 2000 during peak holiday season when the popularity of Bettys Bay holiday homes becomes apparent!
