Darnall at a glance
Darnall is a small suburb located in the town of Nkwazi, situated along KwaZulu Natal’s famous Dolphin Coast.
Located only about an hour’s drive from Durban CBD, Darnall property owners find themselves about 10 to 15 minutes drive from Stanger Central and Tugela.
What are the major attractions in Darnall and what makes this town unique?
Although originally a single farm, Darnall was purchased and named by David Brown, when sugarcane was initially brought from Mauritius and cultivated there. Shortly after this he sold the land to Liege Hulett and the legendary Tongaat Hulett was started, giving way to large-scale agricultural activities.
Darnall is famous for its awe-inspiring landscapes of sugarcane hills and abundance of small indigenous wildlife.
It is mainly an agricultural, and increasingly a holiday area, due to the natural setting, serene atmosphere and surrounding attractions. Darnall properties give owners fantastic access to neighbouring reserves where the Big Five can be viewed; for instance the Umfolozi Game Reserve situated only an hour and a half away by car.
What is the Darnall property market made up of?
Darnall as a developing agricultural and coastal suburb is giving to freestanding properties. Thus, it’s no surprise to find that the stock composition is exclusively freehold or full-title. You can expect to find smallholdings, larger farms and vacant land for sale in Darnall.
