Dowerglen History
A small settlement sprung up around Ritetfontein Gold Mine. Later the Townships of Eastleigh, Edendale and Edenvale were subdivided into 991sq meter stands. Many Cornish miners settled in properties in Edenvale and Eastleigh.
Edenvale today is a quiet town. The residents range from middle class owners living in Eastleigh and Croydon to the upper class owners who live in areas such as Dowerglen and Edenglen.
Dowerglen Position
Dowerglen is situated within 10 minutes of O.R.Tambo  International Airport and  Kempton Park, Isandovale, Bedfordview and the Johannesburg CBD, making the Dowerglen properties easily accessible to many major business hubs.

Dowerglen suburbs are all secure boomed suburbs, manned by  the SSG security group in Dowerglen proper along the Glendower Golf Course, Dowerglen Extension 4 and

All have 24 hour security guards and security vehicles which patrol the Dowerglen suburbs.
Edenvale Police Station is situated a stone's throw from Dowerglen. Linksfield Private Clinic is about 5km west of the Dowerglen suburbs, and Edenvale Provincial Hospital is to the north.
