Paarl at a glance

Paarl (English: Pearl) was named after the awe-inspiring sight of the Paarl Domes on the Mountain Range in the morning after a heavy storm.

Originally an outpost for trade between the Dutch and the local Khoi, Paarl is a beautiful town located in the Western Cape Province, and is the third oldest town in South Africa.

Residents of Paarl property take pride in the amazing scenery that completely surrounds Paarl, from the beautiful Wine Routes to the breath taking views of the Paarl Mountain Range. Being flanked by stunning Winelands districts all around, Paarl is indeed the “gateway to Cape wine culture”. It has really become a home to love for many, and Paarl property is not only constantly increasing in popularity, but in value too! Paarl is also one of the towns in South Africa where the predictions are that the price of properties is expected to rise over the next few years.

The town is also filled with great monuments and exciting history that has molded the town, over time, to become the flourishing haven that is today. Famously known for the Paarl Wine Route, Paarl is agriculturally rich and is the perfect place for anyone who likes the “country”. Although Paarl property residents have, over the years, developed a leisurely lifestyle - Cape Town, only a 45 minute drive away, means that exciting nightlife and a city of opportunity is close by.
