Chas Everitt brings Nomad© to KZN with launch of new North Coast office
Category News
The Chas Everitt International property group has this week announced the immediate restructuring of two of its KwaZulu-Natal franchises into a brand new North Coast operation to serve one of the country's fastest growing real estate regions.
"Sales agents from our previous Ballito and Umhlanga franchises make up the core of this new operation," says group CEO Berry Everitt, "and they have already notched up R10m worth of home sales in just a few days.
"This is clear testimony to the effectiveness of the new Nomad© business model which we have now launched on the North Coast and that we anticipate will radically shift the status quo of property marketing in this region. It has certainly taken the market by storm in the other areas where we have already launched it."
The Nomad© model is specifically designed to enable agents to work completely remotely while providing even better levels of service to clients and earning more money, he says "and it is not something that we just dreamed up recently to cope with the movement restrictions imposed on agents and their clients due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
"We developed and started testing Nomad© almost three years ago, and both our Pretoria and Sandton operations are already run completely according to this model. What is more, both were able to achieve really remarkable sales results even when all their agents were in hard lockdown recently, thanks to the fact that these agents were already used to working remotely - and already had access to best-of-breed equipment, technology and marketing platforms to enable them to maintain contact with all their sellers and buyers and keep working on deals."
In the Sandton area, agents working on the Nomad© model concluded more than R400m worth of resales and new development sales between April and the end of June, while the Pretoria franchise recorded almost R100m worth of sales in the same period - and an 18-month sales record in June.
The establishment of the new Chas Everitt North Coast operation follows the cancellation by the group of its franchise agreements for the Ballito and Umhlanga areas with immediate effect. It was made aware that an application for the liquidation of these businesses and their franchisee had been lodged and made the decision to terminate the association to protect the interests of loyal clients and agents as well as the group's good name and brand value.
"This was not a pleasant or easy decision to have to take," says Everitt, "but as it happens it has given us an amazing and timeous opportunity to launch Nomad© into KZN and specifically into the North Coast market, which is already developing rapidly and we anticipate will become one of the 'hottest' property areas in South Africa over the next five to 10 years.
"We have retained our existing agents serving the Umhlanga and Ballito markets to work in our new North Coast operation, and are now looking forward not only to growing these sales teams using the Nomad© model, but also to expanding into other towns and the new estates continually being developed along the North Coast all the way up to Richard's Bay.
"Top local agents who are interested in becoming one of our Nomads© and having the freedom to work remotely while enjoying unmatched technology, marketing and business support from a top national brand - and making much more money - are thus welcome to contact Chas Everitt director Barry Davies on 083 644 0001."
