Chas Everitt East London is growing

Category News

The Chas Everitt International operation in East London has moved to new offices in Pearce Street which will not only accommodate its expanded residential divisions but also its recently opened commercial property and management /maintenance divisions.

"This growth means that we will now be able to offer a comprehensive, one-stop property service to all property buyers, sellers and investors, as well as sectional title trustees, HOA directors, landlords and community housing schemes that require property maintenance services," says Chas Everitt East London franchisee Clinton Krouse.

"We will have our four divisions all under one roof, and while they will interact closely, they will be separately run by fully-qualified (NQF5) principals. Kerry Keightley will manage commercial property sales, rentals and management; Kaila Saunders will run residential rentals; Caylee de Jager will run property maintenance and John de Koning and myself will run residential sales.

"This will ensure that our customers continue to receive the outstanding service that we are known for - while also being able to turn to us for additional help when they need it. We quite often have buy-to-let investors asking us for help to manage their rental properties, for example, and as East London continues to attract many semigrants from the inland provinces, we are increasingly also being asked for help to find commercial premises and warehousing for new logistics businesses."

"We also provide administrative services to a number of sectional title complexes and estates, and will now be able also to meet their need for reliable and cost-effective property maintenance services."

Meanwhile, he says, there has been strong growth in the East London property market since the hard lockdown was lifted earlier this year, and the first-time buyer sector is especially active. These buyers are responding to the historically low home loan interest rates being offered by the banks at the moment which have created a wonderful opportunity for more South Africans to buy their own homes, and start creating personal wealth for themselves and a legacy for their families.

"And in the light of this growth trend, we are currently working to make sure that even more home buyers and sellers in our region have access to truly professional property services, with new operations in Mdantsane and Umtata opening soon."
