New development: Voliere

Category News

Stellenbosch is not only South Africa's second-oldest city but also a burgeoning business and technology hub that is home to many of the country's most affluent citizens - and always in high demand among property buyers and investors.

The most sought-after homes are student apartments close to the Stellenbosch University campus, and modern family homes in secure estates like Voliere, a luxury development at the northern end of the city, close to the Simonsberg wine estates, Paarl, Franschhoek and the rest of the Cape Winelands.

It offers beautiful contemporary homes built in the Cape Vernacular style, landscaped gardens, a co-working space, an outdoor gym and its own running track, as well as easy access to the charming city centre, with its pavement cafés, trendy shops and galleries, ancient oak trees and historic Cape Dutch homesteads.

The area's world-famous wine farms, food markets, cultural events, nature reserves and running and cycling trails are also within easy reach, which makes it an ideal modern base for enjoying the region's renowned country lifestyle.

When complete, the estate will contain around 260 homes developed by the same team that created the Arabella Country Estate near Kleinmond. These will comprise a mix of freehold houses sold on a plot-and-plan basis, and sectional title apartments in three separate buildings. Plot prices start at R1,09m and plot-and-plan home package prices start at R2,9m.

Civils at the estate were recently completed, along with the HOA administration and security buildings and the fibre and IT infrastructure, allowing construction to begin on the first phase of homes. Upgrades to the R44 main access route are also under way.
