The Chas Everitt International property group has appointed Maria de Villiers as its new regional manager for the Western Cape region.
“Maria brings a valuable mix of skills and expertise in management, business development, management consulting, and training development and facilitation to the group,” says MD Berry Everitt.
“She is a highly skilled real estate professional with the necessary formal training and relevant experience to add value to all our franchisees - and by extension to our valued client base - in the region. Maria has been active in the real estate industry for the past 13 years and has owned and managed a successful real estate franchise in Stellenbosch. She gained extensive experience as a regional manager for another national real estate group from 2008 until 2012 and is also a qualified real estate valuer.
She says she relishes the opportunity to join the Chas Everitt International management team. "Although the group is a major player in the industry now, it started out as a family business and it has retained this approach to doing business. It feels more like joining a caring family than taking up a corporate position. The group emphasises sharing ideals, ideas, beliefs and values, and all business decisions are based on the best interests of clients."
And creating value for clients is close to her heart. "I love the investment aspect of real estate where value is locked up within every set of walls. But on the other hand, it is also true that every house is someone's castle, and it is gratifying to be able to contribute to creating homes, as opposed to just selling houses."
Maria says one of her main goals will be to expand Chas Everitt International's position as the brand of choice in the Western Cape, based on service excellence. "Whether a client wants to buy, sell or rent a home, or whether clients want to build, adjust or sell investment portfolios, they will find the professional advice and depth of expertise they require at the nearest Chas Everitt office – complete with a level of service far beyond their expectations," she says.
